As a finalist you are invited to the 4 final events:

  • 10 April Virtual Pitch Day Briefing 10:00-10:30am
  • 23 April Virtual Pitch Day: pitching to the judges on Zoom at your 20-minute slot
  • 24 April – 9 May Internship Interviews: interviewing with our internship partners for the internships opportunities
  • 2 June Awards Reception (time details below): showcasing your work, networking with industry, winners announcement and celebration

Virtual Pitch Day Briefing

  • Date & time: 10 April 10:00-10:30am (you will receive a calendar invite)
  • Zoom joining link: see calendar invite

Virtual Pitch Day 

  • Date & time: 23 April
    • 8:30am-9:00am: Tech check – please join to make sure you can screen share your slides (you will receive a calendar invite)
    • 9:30am-1:00pm: Pitching – please join at your assigned 20-minute slot
  • Each finalist will have a 20-minute slot which will include:
    • 3 min pitch
    • 15 min Q&A
    • 2 min switch
  • Your slot time will be given to you at the Virtual Pitch Day Briefing Meeting
  • The pitch can be done however you like and can include slides, videos, or webcasting if you choose
    – For reference: Finalists pitches from 2023 and 2024 – Passeri Polyphony, Being a Giraffe, and Narrative Realms are good pitch examples commended by judges
  • Our events manager Anita will share Zoom joining instructions for you to join at your designated time in a waiting room
  • You will pitch with camera on to the judges whom you can see on screen
  • Q&A: judges will type their questions in the chat & each will be read out loud by the moderator for you to answer
  • Please send your presentation file to anita.onwuegbuzie@iukbc.org.uk ahead of Virtual Pitch Day as back up for screen sharing on the day if any tech issues

Internship Interviews

  • Dates: 24 Apr – 9 May
  • Time: Interview times will be arranged directly with the interview partners and will be held virtually
  • Interviews will be done individually
  • 5 Internship opportunities: Arup, Snap, Soluis, StoryLab Research Institute Anglia Ruskin University, and Wales Millennium Centre & Sugar Creative joint internship

2025 Innovate UK Immersive Tech Awards Reception

  • Date & time: 2 June 5.00pm-9:00pm in London at the Minster Building
  • Private Showcase for judges and internship partners 4:00pm-5:00pm
  • Showcase set up 12:30pm-3:30pm (you will receive a calendar invite)

We recommend you bring a friend (or two maximum) to help with your showcase demo. Please RSVP their names via the Awards Finalist link and let our team know who you’re bringing.

Information we will need from finalists:

  • LinkedIn profile(s) – if available
  • Headshot(s)
  • Bio(s)
  • Preferred pronouns
  • A recap of the kit you will be using for your demo & the space required (2x2M general spec to be tailored once you advise). Screen (on wheels) with HDMI cable, table, chair will be provided by the venue.
  • Confirmation that you’d like to participate in the Internship Interviews – This is a great opportunity but not mandatory if you elect not to participate.
