Applications for this year’s awards closed on 24 March 2024.
The application for the Innovate UK Immersive Tech Awards consists of two parts – a video brief and an entry form. Applicants may edit their entry after submitting, up until the entry deadline.
Applicants are eligible to enter more than one category, but must enter a separate work for each category. You cannot enter the same or similar projects for more than one category. Applicants must be 18 or over and studying for a UK based degree.
You may enter as an individual, or as a team, for all categories except the Career Breakout Showcase: one person will need to be the lead name on the application. There is no limit on numbers, but each will need an eligibility letter from their course director. Only one video will be required per team.
The below questions are for the undergrad / postgrad awards: click here for details of the Career Breakout Showcase, including the application questions for that category.
Video Brief
Applicants may submit a video up to 3 minutes in length explaining their work.
Show us:
- An overview of your project and please include if the project is complete or still in production
- Demonstrate the work developed and be sure to include a demo of the experience such as walkthrough of the build, prototype, designs
- How does your project fit the category
- Your biggest challenges and how you overcame them
- Outcomes of the project
Focus on using the time to explain your project and clearly demonstrate what was developed.
You will not be judged on high video production quality.
Videos may be hosted on a video site such as YouTube or Vimeo.
Video URLs should be accessible, and please ensure any applicable passwords are provided and active.
