Applicant Eligibility

  • Undergraduate to Postgraduate – 5 categories, ages 18+
  • Career Breakout Showcase – anyone 18+ in the UK who has up-skilled outside of university programs and who has not had a paid full-time job in industry (or only a short-term role totalling less than three months)
  • Individual and Team applications

  • Judges Info Session – late March 2025 (will include judges from all partners)
    • Judging Process
    • 30 min judges onboarding for Awards Force judging platform (same as 2023 awards platform instead of 2024 Evalato platform)
  • 19-30 Mar Judges Score Applications
    • Please complete all judging assignments by 30 Mar without fail
      • 2023: 19 judges each had up to 13 assignments with 76 applications each assigned to 3 judges
      • 2024: 33 judges each had up to 6-7 assignments
      • Judges abstained for any conflicts of interest upon receipt of judging assignments for re-assignment
  • 2-6 Apr Judges Review Top Finalists Videos
  • 7 Apr Judges Meeting – Deliberate Finalists  
    • Meeting to finalise top 2 finalists in each of 5 categories – deliberation will proceed with all who can attend
  • 8 Apr Finalists Announced
  • 23 Apr Briefing for Virtual Pitch Day – Judges

  • 24 Apr – 9 May Finalists Interviews for Internships
    • Coordinated directly between each organisation and all Finalists once Innovate UK Immersive Tech Network shares Finalists’ contact info
    • 2023: wonderful collaboration between Arup and Edify interview leads
  • 12 May: Internship Partners Meeting
    • Friendly discussion between all internship partners coordinated by Innovate UK
    • Immersive Tech Network to ensure each partner is happy with top choice candidates to proceed offers
  • 13-29 May: Internship Offers/ Acceptance
  • 2 June 5:30PM Awards Reception & Winners Announced
