The Immersive Technology Investment Accelerator (as part of ISCF Audience of the Future Challenge) offers up to £2m of funding for UK creative and tech businesses to undertake R&D projects that enable immersive content to be created faster, more efficiently or in new ways. The funding will be offered through simultaneous grant funding and venture capital investment. The competition is open to UK-based small businesses working with immersive technologies for projects costing between £150,000 and £300,000.
The investor partners in this competition are Creative England, GC Angels, HTC Europe, London Venture Partners, Mercia, Northstar Ventures, Oxford Science Innovation, R/GA, Station12, Techstart Ventures and Warner Music. Find out more about all investors.
At the recent London briefing event, we interviewed Nick Button Brown from London Venture Partners and Fabio LaFranca from Station12 to get their spin on what they are looking from companies they are investing in as part of AotF Immersive Technology Investment Accelerator.

Also, great advice from the Edinburgh briefing event from Patrick Bradley from Station12 and Mark Hogarth from Techstart Ventures. Patrick told us that they are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, committed and realistic and covered all the bases – both good and bad. Mark Hogarth, Techstart Ventures advised companies to “Think of their investor as their partner. Make sure you get on with them as they are in it for the long haul”.
