Calling all UK XR Studios & Hackers, are you interested in a chance to win $100K+ in prizes?
The Innovate UK Immersive Tech Network will be running a UK XR hackathon in London in partnership with PwC on August 14-16th. The event will take place at PwC offices near Trafalgar Square and will be the biggest ever UK XR Hackathon, with capacity for 100+ hackers and £10K in prize money to be won.
This initiative is part of the global XR HACK opportunity, a first of its kind global XR hackathon, driven by XR Bootcamp and sponsored by Meta.
There are a variety of challenge categories:
- Hobbies & Skill Building: New applications that help enhance your hobbies in MR, like learning a new instrument or playing with virtual pets.
- Utility & Design: Use Mixed Reality to solve problems in the world around you or decorate and design your space.
- Gaming: Solo and multiplayer gaming experiences with a focus on virtual experiences like table-top games.
Winning projects from the UK Hack will be judged against the winning projects from local hacks in Germany, Turkey, and Sweden for a chance to win $100K+ from the global prize pool from Meta.

Anyone interested is eligible to apply. Entry is free, although you will have to cover travel and accommodation. A dedicated discord server chat is available if you need help in finding accommodaiton.
You can apply with a team or alone; a team formation session will be held on day one. We expect you to form a team with minimum 5 team members; there is no maximum team size.
