Update on the Immerse UK and Barclays Eagle Lab present XR & Femtech

Please note that this event has been moved online and is still open for bookings.

If you have already registered, you do not need to re-book your place and you should have/will be receiving an email with further details about accessing this event remotely.

We are teaming up with Barclays Eagle Labs to host XR and Femtech, an evening event at their Brighton offices, as part of Spring Forward. This free event will explore the lack of female-identifying and non-binary both in front of, and behind the screen. We will also be discussing how immersive technologies have the potential to focus on topics that may be considered taboo or niche. Our programme will include:

  • Untold female stories are being told through XR;
  • The potential of XR and haptics to educate people on the inner world of middle-aged women’s bodies and the reproductive diseases;
  • How XR can alter our cognitive biases and shift our perspective on gender and identity.

We will be joined by fantastic speakers, including Dominnique Karetsos, CEO & co-founder of Healthy Pleasure Collective, founder Intimology Institute, industry architect & speaker, Dr Camille Baker, interdisciplinary artist, curator and researcher at the University for the Arts and Dee Harvey, immersive writer-director and founder of Controvert.

This free event is open to all. Read more about our programme, our speakers and register
