Martin McDonnell | Chairman and Founder of the Soluis Group | Co-Founder of Sublime

Martin is leading Sublime to launch edify; the immersive augmented learning platform for Universities and students to connect and collaborate across mobile, browser and virtual reality.

An innovator, inventor and entrepreneur, Martin has built a group of successful businesses that connect the latest digital technology platforms to the needs of different market sectors, applying spatial computing to industries including education, design, construction, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Pippa Bostock | Business and Development Project Manager | University of Portsmouth
As Business and Development Project Manager, Pippa utilises her experience and passion for the Creative Industries to specialise in Creative and Immersive XR – developing new and rewarding partnerships at all levels. She is currently leading the creation, development and implementation of the Centre for Creative and Immersive XR (CCIXR) at the University of Portsmouth. Pippa became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) in 2017, in recognition of her work in this area.

Alison Watson | Founder & CEO | Class Of Your Own

Alison Watson is a land surveyor and the founder and Chief Executive of social business and education consultancy, Class Of Your Own.

She created the innovative “Design Engineer Construct!” (DEC) accredited learning programme for secondary school students age 11-18, supported by some of the UK’s leading companies, professional bodies and universities through the ground breaking ‘Adopt A School’ scheme. The launch of the ‘Future Infrastructure Programme’ for the 2020/21 academic year provides a truly modern suite of technology-focused qualifications for the next DECade.

In recognition of her perseverance and dedication, Alison was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in Her Majesty The Queen’s 2018 New Year Honours for services to education. This was followed in 2019 by an Honorary Degree from Heriot Watt University as a Doctor of Engineering and Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, both in recognition of her commitment to contributions to Built Environment education in schools.

Class Of Your Own has partnered with Soluis and Sublime on school projects for a number of years and most recently the development of ‘ReconstructED’ – a virtual reality concept that enables DEC learners to visit and interact with their chosen site from the comfort of their classroom.

Alex Gibson | Assistant Head of School, School of Marketing, | Technological University Dublin

Assistant Head,  School of Marketing, Technological University Dublin, Alex Gibson is a leading commentator, consultant and writer on augmented and virtual reality trends. He founded the ARVR INNOVATE conference and expo in 2014, – this international conference has a focus on the business rationale for investment in AR and VR. He has acted as advisor to TechIreland on the immersive technology eco-system in Ireland. Within TU Dublin Alex has been working on several initiatives to build immersive technology in the curriculum including authoring an Immersive Technology in Buiness course. Alex also presents a weekly radio show on marketing topics, The Persuaders on Dublin City FM where he regularly covers immersive technology topics.
