Ground-breaking Virtual Reality for a blockbuster art exhibition: Modigliani VR: The Ochre Atelier, PRELOADED’s VR installation at Tate Modern was an exciting challenge in connecting visitors with one of the 21st Century’s greatest artists and providing unique insight into his work.
PRELOADED came up with the central concept for the experience: a meticulous VR reimagining of the Parisian studio, where Modigliani lived and worked in the final months of his life.
This meticulous VR reimagining of the studio was fully immersive and allowed users to step into the room where he lived and worked in the final months of his life. Provoking empathy, sparking connections with the people and artworks seen in the exhibition, this experience provided powerful context for the last room of the exhibition containing Modigliani’s final Self Portrait in reality.
The VR experience was experienced by 78k people in 4 months.
