Working directly with the NBA we helped them celebrate the arrival of the Dallas Mavericks in Madrid – letting fans of basketball put themselves in the heart of the team. Not just in any picture though – in a 20m x 20m billboard in the centre of the city!
Using 8th Wall as the underpinning platform, users could scan the QR code and then were prompted to take a selfie. Once this is done they could hold their phone up to the poster and see themselves as part of the team!
At this point, fans were able to save or share the picture if they login or register for an NBA ID.
