This project challenges the romanticism of coffee by bringing out the environmental and socio-economic costs behind producing coffee.
Viewers are invited into a dreamy space, surrounded by animations of cloud shaped coffee elements, and are then encouraged to enable the AR experience to view a data backed reality of the true environmental and socio-economic costs of producing coffee.
It targets consumer awareness and environmental consciousness through coffee. It reiterates on the idea that climate change doesn’t always show up into our lives as a grand catastrophic event but can subtly seep in through something as simple as our morning coffee. It seeks to bring the issue closer to people in a way that helps them connect with it instead of making climate change seem like a distant phenomenon.
